Get Healthy Glowing Skin With This Easy DIY Face Scrub

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping...and we’re still dealing with dry, irritated winter skin (hey, the polar vortex was not the easiest on our complexion!). According to Women’s Health Magazine, as winter temps and humidity levels drop, the moisture disappears from skin, leaving it dry, flakey and not always looking its best as we make our way further into spring.

So, instead of immediately heading to the nearest spa and handing over our entire rainy day fund, we decided to search for a new and affordable skincare hack that can deliver healthy, glowing, dewy skin right at home in under twenty minutes.

The healing qualities of this transforming DIY exfoliant scrub will work wonders for your skin (trust us!), reducing redness, moisturizing and soothing itchy or sensitive skin all in one. Not only will this scrub make you feel amazing about your complexion, it’s also the perfect addition to your calendar for a little me-time. Add this super easy face mask to your skincare routine and transform your skin for spring.

Soothing Oatmeal Honey Face Scrub

Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp ground oatmeal
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp almond or coconut oil

Directions:
• Mix ingredients together in a bowl until a thick consistency is formed
• Add a few drops of water as needed if mask is too thick
• Apply to face with fingertips and massage into skin
• Leave on five to ten minutes
• Rinse off with water

Can you make the Oatmeal Honey Scrub ahead of time and store? Would you have to store in refrigerator? More info on that please. Thanks!

My hack is a facial mask that does wonders.
It’s from the earth and really transforms your skin. It’s Sodium Bentonite mixed with Raw Apple cider vinegar. Mix a tsp of Sodium Bentonite & a half tsp of vinegar. Stir until it becomes like a paste. Apply to your face, leave it on until it dries thoroughly (about 30min).
Then rinse with a cloth and warm water.
You will be amazed even with the first time.

I used this formula 55years ago. I have been jazzercising since 1978. Jazzercise is holistic. Friends become family! Thank you Judy Sheppard Missett - you are good with numbers, Yes, I used to teach in New Orleans.

My favorite DIY skincare tip is to use coconut oil as an eye makeup remover. It is better than any other makeup remover and does double duty by coating your lashes with coconut oil which is known to help with lash growth.
