FOR THE DANSU WITH JAZZERCISE JAPAN CLASS

Fumika Fujimoto

Fumika Fujimoto was certified as an instructor in 2006. In 2009 she took her love of Jazzercise a step further and started a satellite location. This year, she’s excited to celebrate her 10th anniversary of being a class owner at the location.

Fun Fact: Fumika enjoys taking advantage of the four seasons in Japan. She loves cherry blossoms in spring, surfing in summer, the changing leaves in autumn and skiing in winter.

Ayano Fujita

Ayano Fujita fell in love with Jazzercise at first sight! She certified as an instructor in 2013 and teaches in Yokohama, Japan. After graduating college Ayano worked in an accounting office and had two kids, it was then that she found Jazzercise.

Fun Fact: Ayano enjoyed doing rhythmic gymnastics when she was a student.

Miho Imai

Miho Imai certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2015 and began teaching classes in Kashiwara, Osaka. Miho is proud to be an instructor and gets even more inspired when she sees her customers loving Jazzercise as much as she does.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Miho likes to spend time with her family and watch her daughters dance.

Miku Kato

Miku Kato started taking Jazzercise when she was 16. In 2014, she attended “Jazzercise Live Hiroshima” which inspired her to become an instructor. One year later, she got certified! Miku is excited to continue spreading the joy of Jazzercise in the years to come.

Fun Fact: Miku’s mother introduced her to Jazzercise.

Atsuko Kokaji

Atsuko Kokaji is a 21-year-old Jazzercise Instructor and Assessment Coordinator. She opened the Jazzercise Omihachiman Fitness Center three years ago where she and nine other instructors teach.

Fun Fact: Atsuko enjoys cooking for her son and husband.

Kazuyo Miyabe

Kazuyo Miyabe became an instructor in 2014. Since then she has enjoyed every moment of showing people her excitement for Jazzercise and blending exercise with music! She says as soon as Jazzercise came into her life, she was captivated by the music and the kindness of her instructor.

Fun Fact: Kazuyo loves telling people about Jazzercise and how life-changing it is!

Eiko Mizosaki

Eiko Mizosaki certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2013. She has been teaching Jazzercise for four years and also works as an Assessment Coordinator. Eiko opened her studio, Jazzercise Ujina, in 2017 saying “It was a big decision, but good decision.”

Fun Fact: She credits Jazzercise for making her life so happy!

Yukiko Numata

Yukiko Numata certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2012 and started teaching classes in Osaka, Japan. In 2014 she moved to Kawasaki where she began teaching at the Ichigao Fitness Center and later opened a satellite location. Yukiko is also a Training Specialist and dreams about opening a new Jazzercise center in the future. She has two daughters who play basketball and she hopes that one day they become Jazzercise Instructors!

Fun Fact: Yukiko’s dream is to spread Jazzercise love throughout Japan and says she works to be a better instructor every single day.

Tomoko Shindo

Tomoko Shindo has been teaching Jazzercise for 29 years! She is also a Training Specialist and Assessment Coordinator. In 2012 she opened the Jazzercise Ichigao Fitness Center. Tomoko is proud that she’s been a part of the Jazzercise family for so long and even performed at the JazzerJam opening shows in 1995, 1996 and 2003.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Tomoko loves to watch movies and travel with her family and friends.

KIYOMI Takahashi

KIYOMI Takahashi certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2006. In 2016 she opened the Jazzercise Mito Fitness Center. Her studio includes a team of six Associate Instructors and currently offers 28 classes per week.

Fun Fact: In her free time, she enjoys spending time and chatting with her son and two daughters over “a nice cup of tea.”

Michika Takamura

Michika Takamura has been a Jazzercise Instructor for 23 years and owns a studio in Nagasaki. She enjoys all the new opportunities and people she meets through the program. Jazzercise has always been a passion and way of life for Michika and she cannot imagine life without it—she even kept teaching during all three of her pregnancies!

Fun Fact: Michika has three sons and she credits Jazzercise for encouraging them to stay active and for their love of music.

Rika Uehara

Rika Uehara certified as an instructor in 2014. Since then, she has taught at the Nakano Fitness Center as well as in Okinawa. Rika graduated from Japan Women’s College of Physical Education.

Fun Fact: Rika has done ballet and contemporary dance since she was 3 years old!

Yoriko Yamagawa

Yoriko Yamagawa has been dancing for 30 years! She certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2008 and is also an Assessment Coordinator. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her two daughters who are 16 and 18.

Fun Fact: Yoriko makes her own nail art and accessories.

Yohei Yano

Yohei Yano certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 2014. He is an Associate at the Beppu Fitness Center and currently teaches five classes per week. He enjoys adding a personal touch to all his classes. Yohei is one of the few male instructors in Japan!

Fun Fact: Yohei’s favorite foods are karaage (Japanese fried chicken), teriyaki eel and potato salad. He says “I have a special skill to eat food very deliciously.”
