Joanna Betschart

Switzerland
Joanna Betschart has been doing Jazzercise since she was seven years old. She grew up in Zurich, Switzerland where her mother, Carmen Kasper, is a class owner. Jazzercise has always been a big part of her life and she certified as an Instructor when she was 18 years old. Jo is also a seamstress and works as a tattoo artist.

Fun Fact: She loves Director of Training and Development, Young McCarthy, and can’t wait to meet her in person at the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Lucy Bolding

UK
Lucy Bolding started Jazzercise 12 years ago when she nervously took her first class and discovered she loved it! Since then, she has certified as an Instructor and taught right through two pregnancies. If juggling her husband, two children and teaching every week was not enough to keep her busy, she recently took on the role of UK Training Specialist and is embracing the new challenge. Coming from the beautiful, rural countryside near Oxford in the UK, she enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Fun Fact: Lucy loves to push herself outside her comfort zone and recently completed her first triathlon at Henley-on-Thames. She finished in the top 10 in her category!

Clarinda Henton

US
Clarinda Henton is from Powder Springs, Georgia. Since becoming a Jazzercise Instructor in 2014, she has mentored other instructors and became the center owner of Powder Springs Jazzercise in 2018. She loves the Jazzercise community and how they support everyone who walks through the door. Clarinda is a registered nurse with 20 years of experience in the operating room, intensive care and sports medicine.

Fun Fact: Clarinda loves coffee! She enjoys trying unique brands and loves using her French press every morning.

Pam Krewda

Canada
Pam Krewda began her Jazzercise journey in 2011 in the back of the room, having no idea what to expect. After one class she was hooked and it wasn’t long before she began having dreams and aspirations of becoming an Instructor. In 2013 that dream became a reality! Pam has since lead countless classes, always motivating her students to push their limits—they call it, getting “Pammed.” In January of 2018, she became an owner and now works full-time at Jazzercise Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada.

Fun Fact: Pam starts every day by watching classic cartoons. Her favorites are My Pet Monster, The Flintstones and Duck Tales.

Claudia Locher

Switzerland
Claudia Locher was certified as a Jazzercise Instructor in 1997 in Zurich and owns the Jazzercise Center in Berne, the capital city of Switzerland. Claudia also works with the Instructor Development Team as an Assessment Coordinator and Training Specialist for Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Fun Fact: She loves sweets! The sweeter the better—especially classic upside-down crème caramel.

Martha Marquez

Mexico
Martha Marquez has been a Jazzercise Instructor and owner for almost 15 years, opening her first facility just six months after becoming a certified Instructor at age 24. She currently owns two facilities in the Puebla, Mexico area and is Mexico’s Training Specialist & Assessment Coordinator. Martha has always been involved in sports and dancing, she was even captain of her university’s cheerleading squad and dance team while studying psychology.

Fun Fact: Martha married her high school sweetheart, enjoys dyeing her hair in all sorts of crazy colors and loves helping stray dogs and cats get a second chance at life.

Julie McGinnis-Grindele

US
Julie McGinnis-Grindele attended her first Jazzercise class in 1981 when she was 13 years old. She has been a Franchise Owner and Instructor in Garland, Texas for 24 years. When she isn’t dancing, you will likely find her floating in the pool, watching her idol Serena play tennis or...at Target! Julie has been married for 25 years, has five adult children (including twins!) and a rescue dog named Tess!

Fun Fact: One of the biggest highlights in her career was going to dinner with Judi Sheppard Missett and participating in an Interview on At Home with Chuck & Jenni in 2002!

Becky Mooneyham

US
Becky Mooneyham attended her first Jazzercise class in January 1980 and has been a Jazzercise junkie ever since. She first certified in 1981 and has been an owner and teacher for more than 28 years. Becky recently “semi-retired” as an owner in order to spend more time with her adorable grandkids, but hopes to continue teaching Jazzercise—her true passion—forever!

Fun Fact: Becky and her husband own an acre of land in Florida and live completely off the grid, powered by solar and wind.

Leanne Paix

AUS
Leanne Paix is a 10-year Jazzercise veteran from down under. When she is not teaching a killer class at the only studio in Australia (Jazzercise Nambour and Cooroy), she is a wife, mother to two fabulous children and a third grade teacher. Leanne is an activewear enthusiast and loves wearing her gear to the supermarket each week.

Fun Fact: Leanne turns 50 the same year Jazzercise turns 50! For her birthday, all she wanted to do was attend the Jazzercise 50 Years Strong Celebration.

Elisabetta Pizzinato

Italy
Elisabetta Pizzinato has been a Jazzercise Instructor for 24 years and owns five satellite locations in Northern Italy. For her, Jazzercise is not just a job and a passion, it’s a lifestyle. She represents Jazzercise on the stages of Italian fitness conventions and is also a wife and mother to two kids. Elisabetta has a degree in foreign languages and works for a global logistics and forwarding company.

Fun Fact: She is truly a Jazzercise addict—she can’t start her day without her morning class!

Maria Rosales

Mexico
Maria Rosales Has loved dancing since she was a little girl, competing in dance contests around Mexico. She discovered Jazzercise 10 years ago and it immediately became her passion. She has now been an Instructor for eight years and an owner for four years.

Fun Fact: Maria is a big time animal lover! She has rescued 13 homeless dogs and one cat. She also enjoys cooking and creating original, healthy vegan dishes.

Martina Viola

Italy
Martina Viola has been a Jazzercise Instructor for 12 years and Assessment Coordinator since 2017. She is a member of Italian Jazzercise Presenters Team and Instructor at Jazzercise Vicenza Est Center (the only premier center in Italy) and at Jazzercise Vicenza Nord Center (the first official Jazzercise center in Italy). She is also a wife and mother to two super cute little girls.

Fun Fact: Martina taught Jazzercise eight months into both her pregnancies! Her second baby was even born with a Jazzercise song playing in the background.

Rebecca Yap

Malaysia
Rebecca Yap is celebrating her second decade of Jazzercise this year. She was exposed to Jazzercise as a toddler, watching her mother Christina Yap (a Jazzercise Instructor of 34 years!) teach her classes. Rebecca became an Instructor in 2017 under the training and guidance of her mother and has been teaching at Jazzercise Kota Kemuning, Malaysia ever since.

Fun Fact: Rebecca became an aunt at birth!
