Application Process

Franchised Instructor Application

Follow these 8 steps to become a Jazzercise Franchisee. Reach out to your local Jazzercise District Manager at any time for more information or guidance. We are here to help you each step of the way!

  1. Franchised Instructor Application – Complete and submit the Franchised Instructor Application to the District Manager in your area prior to Casting Call. (Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader version XI or higher is required to complete the application)
    - Download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader. Click here.
    - Fill out the application form and save it to your computer
    - Email the completed application form to the District Manager.
  2. Casting Call – To start a franchise, applicants attend Casting Call to qualify for the Jazzercise Training Program. At Casting Call, a regular Jazzercise class is taught while a qualified Jazzercise representative assesses movement, including basic technique, endurance, and rhythm. Applicants who are ready for the Jazzercise Training program are notified shortly thereafter. Contact the local District Manager to attend Casting Call.
  3. Franchise Agreement and Offering Circular - You will receive a Franchise Agreement and Offering Circular (disclosure of franchise related information) from Jazzercise, Inc. specific to your state or country. After comprehensively reading the Franchise Agreement, submit the completed Franchise Agreement and the initial Franchisee Fee of $1,250 to Jazzercise, Inc.
  4. CPR Certification – As health and fitness leaders, all Jazzercise instructors must be cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified. Prior to attending Audition, you will be required to obtain a CPR certification. Submit proof of CPR certification prior to Audition.
  5. Training Materials – After you submit the completed Franchise Agreement and initial Franchise Fee, training Materials will be mailed to you. Training materials include training video, choreography notes and music, and a fitness resource manual.
  6. Rehearsals – To support and prepare you for the Audition and New Franchisee Training, three (3) Rehearsals are led by a qualified Jazzercise representative. Each Rehearsal is 90 minutes in length and builds on skills required of a Jazzercise Franchisee.
  7. Health and Fitness Exam – An understanding of basic anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, body composition and injury prevention is required by Jazzercise instructors. The Health and Fitness Exam is based on the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Fitness: Theory and Practice manual. You will receive an email invitation to take the required Health and Fitness exam prior to Audition. The online exam must be successfully completed at least seven (7) days prior to the Audition.
  8. Audition & New Franchisee Training – To prepare for your audition, you will learn a group of routines. The audition is to ensure franchisees are able to positively lead a class, instruct customers safely, and perform movements as choreographed with the appropriate intensity to music. At audition, Trainees must show all of these abilities during a practical demonstration. Upon passing audition and completing the New Franchisee Training, you become a franchisee and certified Jazzercise Instructor and are ready to start a franchise.
