The Forever Fit post card came in the mail just as I was about to give in and give up. So after a couple of telephone calls and carrying the card around for a couple of weeks I entered into what would be a total life changing experience. Stephanie, my premiere instructor, was so encouraging and all of my newfound friends and support system are phenomenal. As I look back to the first day, I am amazed at what Jazzercise has helped me accomplish. One hundred and three pounds later I am the same person only with a new and improved outlook on life. Jazzercise has created a “lifer” I can’t thank you enough. |

Prior to finding Jazzercise and Forever Fit, I gained 20 pounds and went up three pant sizes. Overall, I wasn't healthy. One day I received a Jazzercise Forever Fit post card. This was a sign. It was a three month program with weigh-ins, seminars, and even a Personal Touch training class. Jazzercise allowed me to work at my own pace. I was excited to go to class. The Forever Fit program pushed me to succeed...and it worked. I lost 16 pounds and my body fat went down 5.8 percent. I feel like an entirely new person and it's wonderful. The Forever Fit program was only the beginning though. I continued going to Jazzercise and continued to lose weight! I loved Jazzercise so much that I even became an instructor! I want Jazzercise to change others' lives like it did mine. Take the time out for yourself - you deserve it! |

In just the few short months that I have started Jazzercise and the Forever Fit program, it has changed my life. I have lost over 15 pounds and 9 inches! I feel better than I ever have before. I even look better than I did before having my son! I never thought an exercise program could be so much fun and rewarding at the same time. All of the instructors challenge us to work to our highest potential so we can get optimal results. They truly care about each person that comes in to work out. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to lose some weight or just get into shape.

I lost 12 pounds, 9 inches, and 2 pant sizes in just 12 weeks. I’ve tried exercising videos, strenuous boot camp workouts, and even a personal trainer and none of these gave me the results I got with Jazzercise. I am now a 52-year-old grandmother of two – wearing a size 4! My energy level has improved, the stretching exercises improved my aches and pains, and my cholesterol levels have improved. I am big advocate of Jazzercise. |

Jazzercise has given me years back to my life. Help came in a post card right to my mailbox, just when I needed it most! I started the Forever Fit Program the next day. That was eight months ago…and six pants sizes ago! The combined cardio, stretch, and strength training that I found at Jazzercise is unsurpassed. The certified instructors and trainers are committed to staying true to the program’s vision and choreography, which gives it a unique consistency that is the hallmark of its success. Sometimes it takes a team of professionals to remind you to “take care of yourself.” The people make the program, and the program makes us feel like a family. Veteran Personal Trainers and Instructors Chere van Ligten and Shanna Missett Nelson coached me, reminded me about proper body alignment & technique, and also about sensible eating. No fads. No gimmicks. Just PURE FUN! The choreography is always fresh; the music is always hot. I guess there’s nothing wrong with feeling like you’re 20-something especially when you’re 40-something. I believe in the Jazzercise mission so much that I am training to become a certified instructor this spring. |

I started Jazzercising when a good friend invited me to join her in a New Year’s resolution to get in shape. To be quite honest, I was dubious and skeptical that Jazzercise would be able to do anything for me but I went anyway, just to see what it was about. I had tried gyms, home workout videos, regular aerobics classes, jogging, and walking programs before with no consistent or enjoyable results. I was nervous about the dance part of Jazzercise, too, since I had never taken any dance classes before. It didn’t take but one class to realize I had been wasting time on everything else and missing out on something great all those years.
I instantly fell in love with the format, the music, the outgoing, easy to follow, encouraging instructors, the energy, new found friends, and the incredible results I’ve obtained! Now 18 months later my friends and I have each lost over 35 pounds and I have gone from a soft, weak size 14+ to a very toned, lean, and strong size 6-8. I was so wrong in thinking that my “good body” years were far behind me after childbirth and well into my 30’s. They are just beginning - THANK YOU JAZZERCISE!!!!

Some people would say I am obsessed with Jazzercise, but I just found something that works! It helps me to achieve my weight loss/health goals while having FUN. I have lost 46 pounds since I started Jazzercise just months ago from 181 pounds to 135 pounds and still going. About a year before I started Jazzercise I weighed 235 pounds. I was miserable and missing out on a lot of things in life, I was wearing a size 26. I made a decision to make a life style change. I started walking and eating healthier and lost 54 pounds but I began to slow down on losing weight and it was getting harder to be motivated and exercise on my own. My sister told me about Jazzercise and I gave it a try, not sure what to expect. At age 36 with three children and working a full time job (45 miles away from home) you would think my plate is full, but going to Jazzercise just makes life a lot easier. After class I have more energy than when I started. I always leave feeling stress free and in a good mood, which carries with me all day long.
I went from morbid obesity, to obesity, to overweight, to normal range. A total of 100 pounds lost. It has been so much fun going shopping. I can also now sit comfortably at a booth in restaurants (not just the tables). With all this extra energy, I can finally go biking, swimming, play basketball, and go on long walks with my family. I am so blessed to have such a great support system and exercise program at Jazzercise in Columbia, MO.

I started Jazzercise 10 months ago unable to dance or even "hear" the music – my motivation - the “before” picture. I recognized my instructor Karen’s level of commitment when I came to her with questions about the dance steps. Karen frequently stayed after class demonstrating steps and answered a myriad of questions via e-mail. The associate instructors were also great and the registrars' helpfulness and friendliness unsurpassed. Soon I could hear the music, new steps weren't as mind boggling, and it was fun! This endeavor turned into a new beginning for me. Not only did I lose over 70 pounds and drop six sizes, but I began making friends after being socially inactive for years. My new friends were like a nurturing family supporting me every step of the way. My success story is not mine alone. I never gave up because I had a top of the line support system - Karen's franchise - a group of fantastic people working together seamlessly to support, motivate, compliment, befriend and welcome each and every person attending class.

I started Jazzercise in August of 2008. I finally decided that I could not buy another pair of jeans that were going up in size. So I tried a Jazzercise class with a free pass that was given to me, and I had so much fun. I then decided to sign up. At first I went about three times a week, but now I'm going about 4-5 times a week. I went from a pant size 12 to 7/8. I feel so much better about myself, and I have more energy. I have lost a total of 15 pounds, and I'm still going. I love putting on my clothes now without them clinging to me. Now they’re so loose on me I have got to go buy new clothes, it's a great feeling. I am definitely going to keep Jazzercising.

Jazzercise has really changed my life. My weight was at a plateau high of 205 lbs. I tried all diets and exercise programs and gym memberships. Then I tried Jazzercise in August 2008. I already loved music and dancing so when I tried Jazzercise I knew I was at the right place. I was Jazzercising regularly without changing my diet. When I started the special Jazz It Off Jazzercise classes in February I was already down to 166. Just after 12 weeks of Jazz It Off classes and a change to eating healthy, I am at a happy 137! I want to give a big THANKS to Sandra at Jazzercise Rio and all her wonderful instructors and caring staff. I couldn't have done it without them!

I have been overweight for MANY years, I am ashamed to say. When Hurricane Katrina moved my family and me to Shreveport, La., I was weighing in at 248 pounds and was in a size 24! I started working with the dermatology clinic there locally and was privileged to get to know a brilliant doctor named Dr. Anne Bryan in March of 2006. In January 2007 our office started a weight loss program. Most of those started to lose weight immediately, I however, lost 2 pounds one week then gained 3 the next week and I became frustrated in my efforts. I was also going to the gym and exercising. This went on for some time. I almost gave up. Dr. Bryan started Jazzercise and encouraged me to come along. She did this for a few months, never giving up she continued to “pester” me, but I thought that this was not something that I could do because of my weight. In May of 2008 I relented and went to my FIRST Jazzercise class. Almost a year later, I have lost 75 pounds and am now in a 10, yes I said it, a 10. I have not been in a 10 since I was married over 27 years ago. I would like to thank the founder of Jazzercise for coming up with a truly enjoyable way to exercise and Leigh Ann for her encouragement and the excitement that she brings to the class every time!

At any event, Jazzercise means the world to me. I have been consistently going to class for the past 11 years. I began my venture in Omaha, NE but find that I love to visit a lot of facilities. I work in an industry which is dominated by men so going to Jazzercise is the place where I develop my female relationships. It is refreshing to go some where when others look like you big, small, old, young, and any nationality, we are there. The thing I love the most about Jazzercise is no matter where you attend, people are the same - friendly. People are always extending a hand to help others not only in class but also the community. Jazzercise also keeps me up with the latest music. Going to Jazzercise allows me a chance to dance like no one is watching to a variety of styles from funk (my favorite), blues, gospel, country, and mainstream. My ultimate goal is to become an instructor because I love it that much that I would like to be an inspiration to others. Jazzercise has helped me gain my life back. The hardest part is just going to your first class. After that I promise you will be hooked.

At 220 lbs (and only 5'4!) I decided to take action. I changed my diet and began walking daily. I was thrilled to lose 60 pounds and be back to a weight I had known most of my life. However, coming from a dance background, I wanted to do something I really enjoyed. I first became acquainted with Jazzercise at the center in Fairbanks Alaska in 2004. It was love at first chassé! The instructors in Fairbanks were full of energy and funk and their amazing sets had me coming to classes on a regular basis. The added strength training in the regular class and the Personal Touch program began to change my body significantly. Over the course of the year I lost an additional 30 pounds and felt better than I had in 10 years! It turns out I don't have a large frame, I just needed the combination of exercises and the motivation that Jazzercise provides - I was truly shocked by the results! Jazzercise is an important part of my life. It helped me get fit and appreciate what a healthy lifestyle has to offer. Now as an instructor I have been amazed at how quickly Jazzercise customers gain new kinds of confidence and push themselves to new levels of fitness. I am happy to be passing it on.

In January 2007, I decided that I was tired of being tired and overweight. My friend, Kirsten suggested that I go to a Jazzercise class with her. I had gone to Jazzercise in the early 80's and remembered how fun it was, so I was definitely interested in checking out the Boulder Creek classes. I went to my first class in April 2007 and was hooked. I've been attending class at least 3 to 5 times a week for the past year and half and to date I have lost 65 “Jazzercise” pounds! My total weight loss is 80 pounds and I have gone from a size 22 to a very comfortable size 12. I am still loosing weight but the differences I see now are more muscle toning (yes I actually have muscles to tone!) I still eat what my family eats, just not the large portions I had grown used to. I have increased my activity by going to Jazzercise, but I haven't increased my calorie intake. |

I think for me, the biggest challenge was getting started. I wanted the magic pill or quick-fix. I didn't want to have to put forth effort. Once I got started though, it was a fairly easy process. I love that I’m able to hike and do my Jazzercise classes at a high intensity. I no longer feel like the biggest woman in the room. I also do Jazzercise Personal Touch training classes and I’ve found that when you spend that little bit of extra one on one time with the instructors, they teach you how to get the most benefit from each move. That way each workout becomes even more effective. I’m down to 140 pounds which is 90 pounds less than when I started! For one hour a day, I get to completely escape from “real life," enjoy some great music, burn an average of 450 calories, and dance like a real DIVA! |
