JAZZERCISE NATIONAL MOVEMENT SCREENING DAY

(CARLSBAD, CA – March 4, 2003) – Jazzercise, the world’s leading dance-fitness program, is holding its first-ever National Movement Screening Day (NMSD) on April 5, 2003 to reach a widespread audience interested in its franchise opportunity. An estimated 250 Movement Screenings – sessions at which individuals interested in becoming Jazzercise instructors must demonstrate appropriate leadership and movement skills for assessment by Jazzercise representatives – will be held across the U.S. Those who qualify will be invited to participate in an instructor certification workshop.

Through the years, Jazzercise has gained steady recognition as a successful franchise model. Consistently appearing as one of the top franchise investment opportunities in Entrepreneur magazine’s annual Franchise 500, Jazzercise has also garnered top ranking in its fastest-growing and low-investment franchise listings.

"Becoming a Jazzercise franchisee is a wonderful experience for anyone interested in helping others achieve their personal fitness goals,” says Jazzercise Founder and CEO, Judi Sheppard Missett, “while enjoying the challenges and satisfaction that come from owning your own business.”

The company continues to attract a steady stream of new franchisees, with an average of 540 certifications each year since 1999. These franchisees help to satisfy a growing demand for Jazzercise classes worldwide from an increasing and age-diverse customer base. All of this has contributed to record sales for the company last year, making 2002 the best year ever in Jazzercise history
.
“There are so many people who are interested in the Jazzercise franchise opportunity,” says Carol Schmidt, Jazzercise National Workshop Trainer. “The April 5, 2003 National Movement Screening Day will give them a chance to demonstrate their skills and find out more information about the franchise.”

Jazzercise, created by Judi Sheppard Missett, is the world's leading dance-fitness program with more than 6,800 instructors teaching 30,000 classes weekly in the U.S. and around the globe. Since 1969, millions of people of all ages and fitness levels have reaped the benefits of this comprehensive program, designed to enhance cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility.
