“Sunrise” - Australia
Jazzercise Australia 30th Anniversary Jubilee was highlighted on “Sunrise,” Australia’s #1 national morning show. Jazzercise Founder/CEO Judi Sheppard Missett was joined by company VP of International Kenny Harvey, Australia District Manager Rich Mundy, Manager of Franchise Quality Jennifer Colaner and many Australian Jazzercise instructors. The group did a Jazzercise demo and was joined by popular weatherman Grant Denyer, who added his eccentric style to the segment.

“Better Mornings” (CBS-Atlanta)
“Better Mornings” Good Deeds segment featured Jazzerthon for the Cure which raised more than $190,000 to support Komen Atlanta’s mission to enable women to detect and survive breast cancer. The eighth annual Jazzerthon for the Cure was held on Valentine’s Day at the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead and included three consecutive high energy group fitness classes featuring Jazzercise instructors and customers from throughout the state of Georgia. All totaled, Jazzerthon for the Cure has raised more than $1.3 million for Komen Atlanta since 2003.

“FOX 5 Morning News” (FOX, San Diego)
Judi Sheppard Missett, Junior Jazzercise Coordinator Joan Missett Gambill and 15 San Diego area Junior Jazzercisers were featured on FOX 5 “Fitness Friday.” The Juniors did a Jazzercise demo in the FOX 5 studio back lot and reporter Raoul Martinez interviewed Judi and Joan about the importance of physical fitness for children.

Dancin’ Abs by Jazzercise home DVD is featured in an article about best DVDs for shaping up and slimming down. Prevention’s fitness Director Michele Stanten and contributor Chris Freytag reveal their favorite fitness DVDs and name Dancin’ Abs the “best workout that doesn’t feel like one.”

“FOX 5 Morning News” (FOX, San Diego)
Judi, Shanna and local Jazzercise instructors demonstrated the world’s leading dance fitness program live at the FOX 5 studio back lot. Reporter Raoul Martinez interviewed Judi about the legacy of Jazzercise and Shanna led a “class” of Jazzercise instructors. The segment was FOX 5’s first “fitness Friday” of 2010.

“Good Morning San Diego” (KUSI-TV)
KUSI on location reporter Mike Castellucci kicked off 2010 with his first live report from the Jazzercise Fitness Center in Oceanside. Mike’s seven live hits focused on Jazzercise as a great program to meet New Year’s Resolution goals of getting in shape. Mike interviewed Judi and Shanna and a packed class worked out during the early morning hours.

Jazzercise soared into the top 20 on Entrepreneur Magazine’s prestigious Franchise 500 list for 2010. Jazzercise climbed 24 spots from last year, one of the biggest jumps of any company in last year’s top 50. Additional Entrepreneur rankings for Jazzercise include: #5 in Top Home-Based Franchises; #6 in Low Cost Franchises; #14 in Global Franchises; and #17 in Fastest Growing Franchises.

Judi Sheppard Missett, Shanna Missett Nelson and three Jazzercise instructors were featured on the WGN Morning News in Chicago. The segment focused on the Jazzercise 40th Anniversary celebration that was held at Chicago's Union Station the following day. Judi discussed her roots of Jazzercise in Chicago and Shanna and Jazzercise did a demo in the station's newsroom.

Judi Sheppard Missett and three Detroit area Jazzercise instructors appeared live in studio on “FOX 2 This Morning.” Judi was interviewed about how she began Jazzercise and the impact that the program has had around the world. Judi and Detroit area instructors Jen Nulson, Teri Shaffer and Karrie Bixler did a Jazzercise demo showcasing the fusion of movements included in a Jazzercise class.

Inc.
Jazzercise founder/CEO Judi Sheppard Missett was featured in the Franchise 500 issue of Inc. Magazine. In an article entitled, “Masters of Franchising,” Judi discusses how she began Jazzercise and her continued passion for doing what she loves every day. Other franchises featured in the article include McDonald’s, Jiffy Lube and Aamco.

Memphis Commercial Appeal
Writer Cindy Wolff asked readers to send in suggested workouts for her to go to in the Memphis area. She was flooded with emails recommending Jazzercise, so she took a class in late July and wrote two articles about her experience. She attended class at a new Jazzercise Center in Germantown, TN and wrote that the class left her energized, in a good mood because she could dance and had fun.

Game Show Network Live (GSN) host Jay Rodriguez recommended that one of the show’s contributors visit his aunt, Bunnie Rodriguez’s Jazzercise class in Long Island, New York. The segment features him taking class and Bunnie giving him a tutorial on how to do Jazzercise movements.

The Palm Springs NBC affiliate sent a crew to Jazzercise Spa Getaway in La Quinta to get footage of more than 800 Jazzercise enthusiasts participating in group Jazzercise classes. The segment included an interview with Kenny Harvey, Jazzercise Vice President of International and Corporate Events.

As part of the program’s “Can I Afford It” segment, Jazzercise trainee Anna Swartz from Albuquerque asked financial advisor Suze Orman if she could afford a Jazzercise franchise taking into consideration her personal financial status and the $1,000 franchise fee. Suze gave her a stamp of approval to move forward with becoming a franchisee.

“Better Mornings” (CBS- Atlanta)
Jazzercise Founder and President/CEO Judi Sheppard Missett and more than 75 Atlanta area Jazzercise instructors and customers appeared on the morning show. The station broadcast live from the Sandy Springs Jazzercise Center in Atlanta. Reporter Sarah Parker interviewed Judi and joined in on the fun, taking part in the Jazzercise class.

A front page story featured the February 18 Jazzerthon held at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta. More than 500 Jazzercise enthusiasts were in attendance and more than $170,000 was raised for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
