Jazzercise has created fitness programs for aerobics, strength training, low impact, low intensity, personalized instruction, as well as children's programs. You will have a wide variety of programs to offer for all activity and age levels.
Am I required to hire Jazzercise instructors to teach the classes I manage?
Yes, you may only hire Jazzercise certified franchised instructors to teach the fitness programs that your Business-Only franchise offers.
What do I pay a Jazzercise instructor who teaches classes for my Business-Only franchise?
You will decide what to pay the Jazzercise instructors you hire to teach Jazzercise classes. You may negotiate whatever you and the instructor feel is an equitable arrangement.
How do I get trained?
Workshops are held in at the corporate headquarters in Carlsbad, California. You will be responsible for your own accommodations and traveling expenses to attend the workshop.
What happens at the training workshop?
You will be given training on how to set up and manage your Business-Only franchise. You will learn, among other things, how to launch your business and the trade secrets that have made Jazzercise classes successful.
Am I required to lease a building for my Business-Only franchise?
No, you may run your business out of facilities available for rent such as church halls, recreation centers, school multi-purpose rooms and other locations suitable for fitness activities.
May a Jazzercise center rented or owned by a Business-Only franchisee have a weight room with weight and aerobic machines on the premises?
A weight room is considered to be in the same category as a shower room or sauna. It is an amenity that a center can provide to customers.
Could a Jazzercise Business-Only franchisee hire a non-Jazzercise instructor to run the weight room?
Yes, a non-Jazzercise franchisee certified by a reputable organization such as ACE or AFAA could be hired to give orientations and help clients in the weight room. Jazzercise liability insurance does not cover the weight room; therefore a center must buy additional liability insurance if a weight room is installed.
